The first hotel was built in 1940 until today there are hundreds of hotels, villas and inns in this area. The beach itself has historical values to consider with. At this beach was the Dutch and Japanese landed. Therefore there is monument to remind the young generation about the bloodshed taken place in Sanur Beach.
